The National Weather Service is predicting that Spring Creek in South Montgomery County is going to crest at near 29 feet tonight, flood stage is 21 feet. This level is similar to those observed during Tropical Storm Allison in 2001. At 27 feet major lowland flooding begins as water threatens homes near the confluence of Spring and Cypress Creeks. Residents living in these areas or other areas prone to flooding should have an evacuation plan in the event flood waters continue to rise.
The Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management is continuing to monitor the current flood conditions in Montgomery County. We are updating our website at www.mctxoem.org . -
