Media Outlets stop reporting things you don't know. LSC hasn't confirmed, officers haven't confirmed. It's irresponsible reporting. #HouNews

Lone Star College System 3 p.m. update:
Lone Star College System surveillance video and eye-witness accounts confirm that there was only one suspect in the stabbing incident at LSC-CyFair this morning. This suspect was taken into custody by LSCS police and is currently in the custody of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The LSC-CyFair campus has been cleared and remains closed for the remainder of the day/evening. The campus evacuation was orderly and efficient.
The LSC-CyFair campus will reopen for regularly scheduled classes and activities on Wednesday morning. All other Lone Star College locations, including the LSC-Fairbanks Center, remain open as scheduled.
The incident occurred in and around the LSC-CyFair Health Science Center at around 11:12 a.m. There are 14 confirmed injuries; two of the victims are listed in critical condition and four in fair condition. Six victims were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital and six to North Cypress Medical Center. Four of the victims were airlifted and eight transported via ambulance with two refusing any treatment.
The HCSO and campus police continue to investigate the incident and the campus remains an active crime scene. We will issue additional advisories as new information becomes available. -
Statement by U.S. Senator John Cornyn: “I think it’s appropriate to say here and now that our thoughts and our prayers are with the victims and their families. We hope that law enforcement finds those responsible and makes sure they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
