If anything, the banks were able to cause the housing crisis through government deregulation. Thus, not enough government control was the problem, not too much control.

Most compelling: "let's...work to pass a budget that replaces reckless cuts with smart savings and wise investments in our future"

Most pointed: "deficit reduction alone is not an economic plan"
