Super Tuesday in Texas - Live Blog
Texas has the most delegates at stake in the March 1st Super Tuesday primary. It’s part of the process to select presidential candidates for both the Republican and Democrat parties. This blog is part of the Texas Station Collaborative, a new joint project of KERA in North Texas, Houston Public Media, KUT in Austin and Texas Public Radio in San Antonio.

Some presidential primary votes from North Texas. In early voting, among Republican candidates, Texas Senator Ted Cruz has the lead in Tarrant County, home of Fort Worth – Cruz has 38 percent of the vote. Donald Trump has 28 percent. Marco Rubio has 21 percent. In Dallas County, Cruz leads with 33 percent of the early vote. Trump is in second with 27 percent, while Rubio is in third with 25 percent.
Among Democratic candidates, Hillary Clinton has a big lead in Tarrant County – she has 69 percent of the early vote, compared to 30 percent for Bernie Sanders. In Dallas County, Clinton has a bigger lead, 76 percent of the vote, compared to 24 percent for Sanders. -
In Texas, it's Cruz and Clinton -- so far. In early voting, Texas Senator Ted Cruz leads the Republican primary in the Lone Star state. He has nearly 40 percent of the vote. Businessman Donald Trump has 28 percent of the vote. Florida Senator Marco Rubio is in third place with 19 percent. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton leads the Democrats, with 67 percent of the early vote tally so far. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has 31 percent.
